Joining a sorority is an exciting and life altering event the second you become a member. Pi Beta Phi allows its members to connect with women who share the same interest, values, and goals. Being a Pi Phi means having a network of sisters and friends who support one another in achieving personal and professional goals. The Pi Phi friendships made in college last a lifetime.

PAINTING OUR HOUSE

The summer of 2019, we had the opportunity to give our house a makeover. A lot of our sisters participated in the painting and decorating together!

"This summer, a bunch of us were able to help repaint the house! It was so fun doing something that will benefit the whole chapter for years while spending quality time with sisters. I never thought I'd be so excited to go back to school this fall!"

SISTERHOOD EVENTS

Throughout the year, we hold many sisterhood events to encourage bonding among our sisters in many fun ways such as apple picking in the fall and ice skating in the winter!

"Let me start by saying that I am a horrible ice skater. But having the support of dozens of sisters around me, along with the laughs and hugs to keep me from falling, was all I really needed. Sisterhood events are just one of the many times that I get to spend with my beautiful and supportive sisters who are always there to lift me up."

SEMI AND FORMAL

Each semester we celebrate our sisterhood with our Fall Semi and and Spring Formal.

ABROAD

Many of our sisters spend a semester studying abroad. It is always amazing to see so many of them meet up and take on the world together!

"Abroad was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had the opportunity to do, and it definitely wouldn’t have been the same without my sisters. I studied in Florence, Italy for four months and was able to visit 12 additional countries outside of Italy. As a person I was able to grow more independent, see so many new cultures, and meet so many new people from all over the world. I was lucky enough to be able to see sisters while in Europe, whether it was meeting up in Barcelona, Munich, and Dublin, or visiting one another in each other’s own cities. I also had the opportunity to expand my relationships within the Panhellenic community of UConn and create some great friendships over the bond of Florence as our home for those four months. Abroad gave me the stories that will last a lifetime and memories that I would never forget thanks to my sisters and the Panhellenic community."

HUSKY THON

Every year our chapter participates in an eighteen hour dance marathon put on by UConn to benefit Connecticut Children's Medical Center!

"HuskyTHON is my favorite event at UConn. As a freshman I didn’t have a team to participate with, but this past year I was part of the Pi Phi team. It was a whole different experience, being with about 75 Pi Phis. The 18 hours went by a lot faster and were definitely more fun than last year! Can’t wait for HuskyTHON 2020 with Pi Phi!"

BIG/LITTLE REVEALS

We love to expand our greek families! It is always so exciting to see our sisters greet each other for the first time as bigs and littles!
